Timberwolves Beat Nuggets 106-99 in Game 2 of NBA Playoffs

Jamal Murray Wins It for Denver in Final Seconds

The Minnesota Timberwolves took a commanding 2-0 lead in their first-round NBA playoff series against the Denver Nuggets with a 106-99 victory in Game 2 on Thursday night.

Jamal Murray hit a game-winning jumper with 0.9 seconds remaining to give the Nuggets the win and avoid going down 0-2 in the series. Murray finished with a team-high 26 points, while Nikola Jokic added 21 points and 12 rebounds.

Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves with 21 points, while Karl-Anthony Towns added 20 points and 10 rebounds. D'Angelo Russell also chipped in with 19 points.

The Timberwolves led by as many as 16 points in the second half, but the Nuggets fought back to tie the game with just over two minutes remaining. Murray then hit a jumper to give the Nuggets the lead, and Edwards missed a potential game-tying three-pointer with 11 seconds left.

The Timberwolves will now have a chance to take a 3-0 lead in the series when they host Game 3 on Saturday night.
